The moment we stepped in this cake art gallery, we knew this is it. The tasting ceremony was gorgeous, Fran was super knowledgeable and friendly, the whole process was a good experience not a business transaction. Her cakes not just look amazing they taste amazing. “This vendor stood out by a mile for a wedding cake. She made the tasting really thoughtful and fun with several different options for our cake flavors that she prepared just for us. Her signature cake decorations are handmade sugar flowers that last forever. I currently have mine in a vase for decoration in my house and they look really nice. The flavor of our wedding cake was so yummy and we were honestly really excited about the whole process. Additionally, she includes a small cake that she will prepare for our one year anniversary, which I thought was nice because we definitely don't have room in our freezer to store a cake for an entire year. I initially was convinced we would go for one of the popular Pittsburgh bakeries, but we ended up supporting this small business and were so glad we did!”

“Cakes by Colby made what seemed like a difficult choice a super easy one! From moment one walking in the door, you could see the artistry in her work and where her specialties lay. The tasting was a delight, and if anything we ate waaaaay too much while were there, but it was all so incredibly good! Fast forward to the wedding day, everything went off without a hitch and the cake was absolutely gorgeous! She took reference images we provided and went above and beyond, it was elegant without being pretentious and truly lovely on top of being delicious as well. Our guests raved about it too.
